Good to know about Jasper
- Electric - Jasper. The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission's electric service territory map places Jasper in Jasper Municipal Electric Utilities' territory. Source
- Water source. Jasper Municipal Water treats surface water drawn from the Patoka River, with the city-owned, 205-acre Beaver Creek Reservoir as a backup source; in 2025 the utility also began importing treated water from Patoka Regional Water and Sewer District. Source

- PFAS testing. Jasper says a trace of one PFAS compound (PFBA) showed up in the first of four 2023 test rounds, but none was found in the three later rounds or in IDEM's separate sampling of the Jasper system. Source
- Sewer (and city gas). Jasper's wastewater plant at 110 US Hwy 231 (in service since 1990, 3.6 million gallons per day) serves about 135 miles of collection lines with 25 major and 21 minor lift stations; the city also runs its own natural gas utility. Source
