  • Electric - Ferdinand. The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission's electric service territory map places Ferdinand in Ferdinand Municipal Light & Power's territory; the town's comprehensive plan adds that Dubois Rural Electric Cooperative serves only the northernmost part of town. Source
  • Water source. The Ferdinand Water Department (PWS IN5219004) serves 1,160 meters and buys all of its water, treated surface water, from Patoka Lake Regional Water & Sewer District. Source
  • Lead and copper. Ferdinand's 2025 water report lists a 90th-percentile lead level of 5.3 ppb (2024-2025 sampling, range 0-110 ppb) with 1 site over the 15 ppb action level; the service line inventory is on IDEM's dashboard at idem.120water-ptd.com. Source
  • Sewer lateral rules. Under Ferdinand's sewer lateral rules, the property owner is responsible for the line from the house to the town's curb (or easement/roadway); owners must notify the Wastewater Superintendent 24 hours before work, use only SCH 40 pipe, have town staff inspect before backfilling, and may not connect downspouts or groundwater to the sewer.
