  • Water source. Evansville's drinking water comes from the Ohio River and is treated at the Evansville filtration plant at Ohio River mile marker 791.5. Source

  • Aging water mains. EWSU maintains more than 1,000 miles of water lines, 600 miles of which are cast iron with an average age of 90 years. Source

  • Riverside Historic District. The Riverside Historic District, on an Ohio River oxbow southeast of downtown, was developed mainly in the last half of the 1800s and the first quarter of the 1900s. Its commercial edges include the Haynie's Corner area at Adams Avenue and Second Street. Source
