  • Aging water plant. Rockport's water treatment plant has been in operation for over 70 years and has met its useful life; a FY2027 federal funding request seeks $2,000,000 toward a new plant, storage tank rehabilitation, new water mains, hydrants and valves. Source
  • Sewer backups. The City of Rockport Sewer Department says slow or no drainage in showers, tubs, sinks or washers may mean a clogged sewer main or a clogged property-owner lateral, and asks residents to call City Hall (812-649-2242) right away. Source
